What made you start wakeskiing?
My friends were skiing on wakeskis. I didn’t think that looked very cool at first but, after riding on them for a day. I realized they are pretty fun.
What do you like about Stereo Skis?
I like that I can hit rails on them. I also like that they are lite weight and twin tip. The lite weight makes for less swing weight on off axis spins and the twin tip makes it possible to land backwards. I am able to do a lot more inverts and spins on the wake skis then traditional skis. It’s a lot like wakeboarding to me but, they way you hold your line tension and body position is different. So it is still a challenge, which I like.
What are your thoughts on the future of this sport?
I know of two wake ski tournaments in September. I hope we see more tournaments and more guys riding the wake skis at the parks. When I started riding the wake skis there were only a few guys riding them at the cable parks I ski at. Now I see more and more guys on the wakeskis so I hope it is catching on.
