Why do you wakeski?
I have been a three event skier all my life and even though I had great fun, there was always a bunch of rules and set limitations to what you could do. What I like about wakeskiing is that there are no such rules and no limits to what you can do. Every time we go out to ride someone tries something that have never been tried before. It is cool not to know what kind of tricks, what style or kind of riding people are doing in ten years from now!
What do you like about your new Stereo wakeskis?
Our skis are designed to help each skier progress in the way that they want. We are the only wakeski brand with a 3-stage rocker ski. Behind the boat they are both fast and stable and they provide the rider with an incredible pop off the wake. In the park, the flat spot allows for higher “ollies” and a incredible control on rails. All in all, the highest performing skis out there with very user friendly characteristics that will help all skiers progress.
What are your thoughts on the future of this sport?
While I think the traditional way of riding behind a boat will always be around, I think it is obvious that cable parks will play a more important role in the future of both wakeboarding and wakeskiing. New locations and a much lower cost of getting into the sport will give access to new crowds and hopefully help grow the sport. I also think that with todays portable winches and bungee ropes, we will see a lot more riding in spots that earlier was impossible to ride. I am very exited about being part of this sport at such an early stage and to watch it develop.
